Eleni Lapantzi

Eleni Lapantzi was born in 1957 in Lamia. She studied Law and Pedagogy in Greece and continued with postgraduate studies in Paris. She holds a postgraduate degree in Special Education and a doctoral degree in Law. She worked as an educator in special schools, at the European School of Luxembourg for five years, and from 2003 until her retirement (2022) as a special education advisor for the Region of Sterea Ellada. Her involvement in the arts began at a young age. She attended art workshops in the Municipality of Lamia, art workshops in the Municipality of Paris, and art workshops in Luxembourg. Firmly believing in the therapeutic contribution of art, she used it as a tool for learning and psychotherapy in everyday educational practice. In 1998, she was awarded by the Municipality of Luxembourg for her contribution to the European idea through art, and her students’ works were displayed at the Luxembourg public transport stops. Her works are found in private collections.
