“Anastasia Vasileiou is a philologist and visual artist. Guided by an interest in connecting art with education, she gained admission through qualifying examinations to the Department of Fine Arts and Art Sciences at the University of Ioannina, graduating with distinction. Her artistic practice moves between representations of the real and the surreal, seeking deeper meanings in the relationship between natural and psychological landscapes. Working across painting, constructions and new media, she employs clean lines, structured forms and earthy or pastel tones, seeking to bridge language, image and lived experience. She has presented her work in group exhibitions and cultural projects in Ioannina, as well as at the Archaeological Museum of Arta.
