“Natasa Kontouli was born in Athens. In 2003, she graduated from the National Academy of Art in Sofia with a Master’s degree in Painting, under the guidance of Professor Teofan Sokerov. She also holds a postgraduate degree from the Hellenic Open University, specializing in “Art – Cultural Heritage – Development Policies”. She has worked in set and costume design, with her work presented at the Municipal Theatres of Ioannina and Agrinio, as well as at various theatres in Athens and Naxos. For more than 18 years, she taught freehand and technical drawing in secondary education. She has also taught art jewellery for the Municipality of Nea Filadelfeia-Nea Chalkidona and at various cultural associations. She has illustrated children’s books and, since 2003, has participated in numerous group exhibitions of visual and applied arts. Since 2024, she has lived and worked permanently in Naxos, where she founded Art Ark Gallery, a space that presents and hosts prominent contemporary Greek artists alongside her own studio.
