Conceptual Framework: The connection between imagination and reality constitutes the axis of an inseparable relationship, allowing us to conceive new perspectives and solutions. In “The Odyssey of the True Self,” we are reminded of Don Quixote, a timeless knight in contemporary times, whose narratives meet our quests for self-awareness in the toxic becoming of today’s society. Art, as a means of expressing imagination, shapes society towards the pursuit of truth and self-recognition. The contemporary Don Quixotes are the artists of our era, who through their visual creations, liberate our thoughts and call us to seek our true selves. They contribute to the creation of a balanced and harmonious society, offering a substantial antidote to the fragmented reality. Thus, the Odyssey of the True Self becomes a journey through imagination, where the mirror reveals new perspectives and the effort of change begins with personal truth. Through this journey, we realize that idealistic fantasies can transform society, revealing our true selves and encouraging the reconstruction of a better world.
