Infinite Forms 2: Transformations

Art curator Paris Kapralos presents the 2nd exhibition of the “Infinite Forms” series titled “Transformations” at Chili Art Gallery and invites art enthusiasts to attend its opening on Thursday, September 19, from 19:00 to 22:00, and visit the exhibition. The exhibition takes place physically in Athens at the art venue Chili Art Gallery (Dimofontos 13-15, Thiseio, Athens) and simultaneously online, in collaboration with ARTgrID. Visitors will see works of painting, sculpture, collage, photography, upcycling art, and video art.

The curatorial note emphasizes: “The idea that the art of creative reuse (upcycling) transforms recyclable waste into artworks may underestimate one of the most important movements of our time. Although the practice originates from Ecology, it has little to do with its traditional practices. Creative reuse is proposed as an alternative to disposal and conventional recycling of materials, ideas, symbols, and images, creating objects of greater cultural and social value. Reuse not only transforms the material element: it draws inspiration from a strong ecological consciousness and encourages artists and audiences to think unconventionally, challenging traditional concepts of artistic creation. It often suggests the reuse of Art itself, as a powerful social commentary aligned with sustainability and innovation, offering critique on the traditional notion of material value, the transient, and consumer culture. Creative reuse supports the idea that everything, whether conceptual or material, thrives better through infinite transformations, recontextualizations, and revisions.
