Ioanna Kapsiocha

Ioanna Kapsiocha is an artist based in Athens. Her entire body of work is dominated by forms that often appear against a colorful background. These figures inhabit a world of joy, pain, and anxiety, which are the dominant emotions. She uses elements of everyday life and is inspired by images printed in her memory. Her artworks, for the most part, convey messages from the poster “lips – mouth.” The geometric outline determines each time the protagonist of her work and adds not only texture but also character to her paintings. She always puts her personal emotion using the position of her black cat. Each of her works is an experiment. Each time, she expresses her active and emotional state.
