“Ilse Olbrich Schaufler was born and raised in Germany. From an early age, she began travelling, and in Monemvasia she found the place where she wanted to make her home. She raised her children there and, whenever time allowed, explored a variety of crafts, including batik, decoupage, silk painting and others. Now that her children are adults, Ilse has more time for herself and for creating beautiful objects. For the past four years, she has been studying mosaic art at the Polytechno Art Association in Molaoi, Laconia.
