Olga Barmazi | Tender Meadow Herbs

The body of work “Lianohortaroudia” by Olga Barmazi invites us on a poetic journey into the world of nature through a series of compositions that combine watercolor, Indian ink, markers, and noble materials such as gold leaf and metallic threads. With impressive skill, the artist harnesses the expressive potential of paper and her materials to convey not merely images of plants and flowers, but the very experience of natural presence — the rustle of air, the scents, the sensation of texture.

The vegetation in her paintings acquires a three-dimensional volume and is transformed into a living organism, a symbol of the cycle of life, regeneration, and memory. “Lianohortaroudia” formed the core of the exhibition *In the Era of Persephone*, presented in Athens in the spring of 2025. Through these works, Barmazi creates a profound dialogue with Greek tradition and the collective unconscious, offering viewers an opportunity to reconnect with both the natural world and their inner landscape.
