We accept artists of any origin or nationality who live and work in Greece, provided they are at least 18 years old and can communicate confidently in either Greek or English.

Applying to ARTgrID and having your application evaluated by the Artist Selection Committee is completely free of charge.

If your application is accepted, you can choose one of our paid subscription programmes, with either six-monthly or annual billing.

ARTgrID operates as more than an art marketplace. It provides professional representation for its artists, investing time and specialist expertise from the very first day of the collaboration. The creation of your profile in line with international best practices, the editing and translation of content, the organization of your artworks, search engine optimization (SEO), promotion, marketing, support from the Artists Care team and Art Advisors, and the coordination of logistics are all services provided regardless of whether an immediate sale is made.

For this reason, the collaboration begins with a subscription and, when an artwork is sold, ARTgrID also receives a commission for the services involved in completing the transaction.

Once your subscription has been activated, we will ask you to provide specific information and guide you through writing your biography and artist statement. You will then send us photographs, videos and other material relating to your practice and artworks, allowing our team to curate and develop your profile to the highest professional standard.

Your profile will be created by our team using the material you provide and in collaboration with you. ARTgrID’s Artists Care team includes a graphic designer, art curators, a copywriter and specialized translators, as all artist profiles on ARTgrID are bilingual, in Greek and English.

Of course! We believe that artists should have the freedom to sell their work wherever and however they choose. ARTgrID does not require exclusive representation, and you can continue to work with other galleries.

Every month, our website receives tens of thousands of visits from Greece and abroad. We also maintain contact with verified prospective clients, art enthusiasts and buyers in Greece and selected countries abroad, particularly within the European Union, creating a strong foundation for ongoing visibility and sales. We remain in regular contact with these collectors and continue to expand this community of art enthusiasts.

To increase your visibility, we combine these ongoing relationships with collectors with a carefully designed marketing strategy, using a range of promotional channels, including online search, social media, email and others.

ARTgrID’s marketing investment includes paid advertising on social media, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), partnerships and media coverage. In addition, our team of Art Advisors and our powerful algorithm recommend artworks to buyers based on their specific preferences.

Before our collaboration begins, we will discuss with you the practical and tax-related aspects of selling your artworks, so that the most appropriate process can be determined for your individual circumstances.

Our Art Advisors are in regular contact with buyers to promote your artworks.

When a buyer expresses interest, makes an offer or requests additional information or images, ARTgrID’s Artists Care team will contact you and assist you in completing the sale. We never accept an offer without your approval.

Artists have full control over the prices of their artworks. ARTgrID’s Artists Care team can provide guidance to help maintain consistency across your portfolio and in relation to the wider art market.

ARTgrID charges a 30% commission on each completed sale. This covers the services provided by our Art Advisors team, which communicates with buyers and negotiates offers, our Logistics team, which coordinates shipping, customs, insurance and documentation, as well as all operational processes required to ensure a smooth and secure transaction for both the artist and the client.

You will receive payment for the sale 15 working days after the artwork has been received by the client.

Payment is usually made by bank transfer to your designated account. Alternative payment methods may also be arranged, depending on the amount and by prior agreement. Any bank charges and other fees associated with the transfer of funds are payable by you.

Your artworks always remain in your possession. ARTgrID operates on a model that does not require the physical storage of artworks (dropshipping), so there is no need to deliver or send them to us in advance. Your artworks remain at your premises until a sale is made.

In the event of a sale, you will pack the artwork according to the instructions we provide, and ARTgrID will organize its collection by one of our partner shipping companies. We coordinate the shipment and track it until the artwork is safely delivered to the buyer.

Once a sale has been completed, an ARTgrID representative will contact you to:

• …help you prepare the required documentation.
• …arrange for the artwork to be collected by one of our partner carriers.
• …handle all import, export, and insurance costs.
• …track the shipment until the artwork is delivered and keep you informed of its whereabouts whenever you require an update, in case the process takes longer than expected.

The client pays the shipping costs, while you cover the cost of packaging. ARTgrID manages the entire logistics process, allowing you to focus on your creative practice.

ARTgrID’s Artists Care team will provide you with clear packaging guidelines based on the size, medium and fragility of your artwork, as well as its destination, to ensure that it can be shipped safely and smoothly in accordance with applicable customs requirements and other regulations.

Yes, but you will always have guidance from ARTgrID.

You will need to prepare a Certificate of Authenticity, confirming that the artwork is original and was created by you. ARTgrID will provide you with the relevant form and instructions on how to complete it.

Additional export documentation may also be required, depending on the destination country. Where this applies, ARTgrID will support you by providing all the necessary information and guidance.

All shipments organized by ARTgrID are insured. If any issue arises during shipping, ARTgrID manages the entire process and liaises directly with the courier company and insurance partners, so you will not have to deal with the matter yourself.

If a buyer exercises their right to return an artwork in accordance with the terms of purchase, the artwork will be returned to you and made available for sale again on ARTgrID.

In this case, the sale is considered incomplete and no payment is made to the artist. The ARTgrID team coordinates the return process and reactivates the artwork on your profile.

By choosing an annual subscription to the Start plan, you automatically save the equivalent of two months compared with paying on a six-month basis.

By choosing an annual subscription to the Premium plan, you save €45 compared with paying on a six-month basis.

Beyond the financial benefit, our data shows that artists who choose an annual plan have a significantly greater chance of making a sale. Maintaining a continuous presence over a longer period helps strengthen your credibility with collectors and allows your visibility to grow more consistently over time.

You can cancel or change your subscription at any time by simply emailing the team responsible for managing your collaboration with ARTgrID. Refunds are not provided for unused days or months. Your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing cycle and will not renew thereafter.

• Example for a six-month subscription: If your six-month payment was made on 1 February 2026 and you decide to cancel on 16 June 2026, you will continue to have access to the services until 31 July 2026.
• Example for an annual subscription: If your most recent annual payment was made on 1 June 2026 and you decide to cancel on 20 December 2026, you will continue to have access to the services until 31 May 2027.
