Dreams from the past always come to life in our minds. They play games with images, sounds, and scents, intertwining with the obsessions of memories. They hide between logic and emotion, where a last drop of energy, a light, is trapped. Trapped between the brain’s two hemispheres, it struggles to find a path, an escape route to explode. It strives to break free from the mathematical structure of reality, seeking transformation. The light slowly strengthens. It becomes sound and color… It merges with energy and bursts forth. The dream becomes reality and is set free…

Katerina Spyropoulou

Katerina Spyropoulou was born in Athens, where she lives and works. She is a Civil Engineer with postgraduate studies in environmental design and is professionally involved in the field of public works. Since her childhood, she has been engaged in photography, painting, and music. Since 2013, she has participated in artistic photography workshops. In the years 2014-2018, as a member of a photographic group, she focused on “street photography.” In the years 2018-2019, she completed three cycles of studies at the Greek Center of Photography. In the summer of 2019, she began working on “self-portraiture.” In the years 2021-2022, she completed the annual study program at the GCP, working on “staged photography.” Since the summer of 2022, focusing on photographic art, she has been attending the program “Photography: Images and Techniques” at the University of San Diego, California, having already completed 5 cycles of studies leading to a “Professional Certificate in Photography/Arts and Humanities.” She has participated in 9 group exhibitions, 4 in Athens, 3 in Thessaloniki, and 2 online. She has published 2 Photobooks and maintains a website.
