Michalis Devanakis was born and raised in Douala (Cameroon) to Greek parents. He studied Graphic Design and Advertising in France. After his studies, he lived and worked in several countries (France, Bermuda, Mexico, Canada) before settling in Greece in 1997, where he started his own company. He was awarded for his work and had the artistic supervision of various magazines (+Design, Insider Athens, Bonjour, among others). However, the call of art was stronger, and since 2010, he gradually decided to dedicate his time to painting on a permanent basis. He has participated in various group exhibitions in Greece and abroad, while he was honored with the first prize in a portrait competition in America in 2021. His works are found in France, the United Kingdom, Italy, and Canada. He participated in the London Biennale in 2021 and the Chianciano Biennale (Italy) in 2022.
