Thursday, August 12, 2021 – We are pleased to announce today the participation of the well-known visual artist Pinelopi Volterra in our platform’s community of visual artists. As part of our collaboration, we are presenting a permanent exhibition of her works at the address artgrid.gr/pinelopi-volterra. The profile functions as a personal website, including comprehensive information, critical texts, and an updated collection of her works, with the possibility of acquisition.
Pinelopi Volterra is a contemporary visual artist with painting and sculpture as her main forms of expression. She is a founding member of the Art Hall of Corfu, where she lives and works. She has exhibited her work in 21 solo exhibitions in Greece, as well as in other European countries and dozens of international events. Her works can be found in private collections and museums worldwide.
Art Historian Dr. Thanos Christou, in a note of critical approach to Pinelopi Volterra’s work, characteristically writes: “Color and design collaborate in an inseparable unity with the unique aim of revealing internal experiences, hidden desires, and unspoken fears. On one hand, color, intense and often symbolic, invests itself as the primary value in the forms, giving at times tragic and at others lyrical content. This strong color, activated to a great extent by the particular use of light, makes the forms on the painted surface shine and submits the mysterious elements.“
