“This is a series that began in 2019, continued during the lockdown period of the coronavirus, and has been a constant focus for me up to the present day. It’s a collection of mixed-media works, incorporating fabrics, lace, colors, and sequins, with new materials being constantly integrated into the newer pieces. The aim is to captivate the viewer’s gaze, leading them to follow and explore the paths that arise from the rhythmic, wave-like movement of the fabric, reminiscent of seas, waves, and organic matter.Precisely this motion conceals a mesmerizing disposition for the viewer, inviting them to momentarily leave behind the anxieties of daily life and immerse themselves in the rhythm of these waves. The process of creating these works is a process of contemplation, a catharsis of the self, born from an internal need to transcend the mundane and the everyday. This process snips our wings and keeps us grounded.”.
