My creative journey focuses on highlighting emotions and exploring the multidimensional textures that shape our perception of the world. By studying human nature and the natural environment, I aim to reveal the hidden layers of identity and inner truth, creating works that serve as a bridge of communication between the personal inner world and the external reality. Through the power of textures, I convey emotional intensity and authentic beauty, enriching everyday experience and bringing light and depth to every moment.
My works become a meeting point between the human form and the power of nature, where textures act as a bridge transmitting emotional tension and genuine beauty. My art seeks to enrich our daily experience, offering light and depth to every moment, whether it unfolds in our personal space or in the broader environment around us.

Konstantina Maliarou’s painting constitutes a unified yet polyphonic visual universe, in which gesture, abstraction, and emotional expression intertwine with thematic axes that shift between still life, landscape, and conceptual minimalism. At the core of her visual vocabulary lies the gestural act. Whether through bold brushstrokes, explosive splashes, or delicate flows of water and ink, her work draws from the traditions of Abstract Expressionism and Tachisme, highlighting the act of painting as an event in itself.
In parallel, in works where form recedes and a sense of diffusion, light, and flow prevails, the artist moves within the realm of Lyrical Abstraction. Here, colour and mark-making are not articulated through mass and material weight but through transparency, pause, and a sense of breath. The image becomes almost musical — an interior space of breaths and whispers. Still life or organic forms appear as traces of memory rather than structured shapes.
Particular emphasis is due to works with a pronounced conceptual and minimalist character, in which the artist engages in dialogue with the traditions of Japanese calligraphy and Zen, adopting monochromatic range, the simplicity of gesture, and the philosophical gravity of emptiness. Minimalist expression here concerns not only form but also a way of life — a kind of inner silence embedded within the very act of painting.
Finally, her landscapes redefine the genre through abstraction and atmosphere. The gaze does not capture a view, but rather a mood — an experience of transition or internal reflection. Here, nature appears stripped down, without lines or contours — a timeless presence, closer to memory than to direct experience.
Overall, the result is a painting practice both material and poetic, where textures and themes do not function as separate categories but as harmoniously synchronised poles of a personal visual identity.
