Saturday, June 28, 2025 – Painter Victoria Kiritopoulo is the newest member of the “Color in the Water” community, dedicated to promoting visual artists whose primary medium of expression is watercolor.
Victoria Kiritopoulo is a watercolor painter living in Greece. She was born in 1978 and lived in Russia before relocating to Greece in 2020 for family reasons. She graduated from the Academy of Design’s School of Decoration and specializes in creating large-scale abstract artworks using acrylic and mixed media. As a watercolor artist, Victoria draws inspiration from street scenes, seascapes, and the human figure, capturing her personal vision on paper.
Her artistic journey began in 2015 when she discovered the works of Joseph Zbukvic, sparking a deep passion for the expressive power of watercolor. Over the years, she has developed her skills through various courses, enhancing both her technique and her artistic voice. She has participated in numerous international exhibitions in Vietnam, Italy, and the Emirates, presenting her work on a global stage. Additionally, as a proud member of the International Watercolor Society, she actively contributes to the colorful world of global watercolor. She has also taken part in prestigious watercolor exhibitions such as FabrianoInAcquarello and UrbinoInAcquarello.
In an artistic statement accompanying the announcement of her joining the community, Ms. Kiritopoulo notes:
“Being an artist is a vital opportunity for me to express myself and portray my own perspective on reality, seeing the world through the prism of watercolor. Many of my works are inspired by plein air painting and photos I’ve taken during my travels around the world.”
