Ioannis Karras was born in Piraeus in 1970. In 1993, he studied set design, costume design, and theatrical sculpture at the Center for Popular Theater Studies. In 1997, he began acting studies at the ARHI drama school. In 2018, he attended the annual performance program at the National Theatre. He also completed an annual course in theatrical lighting design at Mikro Polytechneio with Melina Mascha in 2019. He trained with the Quantum Body group and Vicky Filippa in Butoh through 2022. He has participated in various art seminars and workshops. He works as an actor, performer, and set designer in theater and dance productions. He has taken part in four group exhibitions and held two solo exhibitions.
