Haris Kourouzidis was born in 1965 in Veria and is a primary education teacher. He attended painting courses at the Literary and Art Center of the Municipality of Veria with Giorgos Tsiaras, at the Pedagogical Academy of Thessaloniki with Dimitris Xonoglou, at the private school Praxis with Kostas Xanthopoulos, and with his artist friend, Yiannis Papadopoulos. He has participated in six solo and ten group exhibitions in Greece and abroad and has coordinated four public art initiatives in Veria in collaboration with public institutions. He has also worked on illustrating books, educational kits, and fairy tales related to Environmental Education. His time living in Africa as a teacher significantly influenced his artwork. Over the last decade, he has been drawn to the allure and freedom of abstract and non-representational painting.
