Kapataf (Konstantinos Trogadas) is a multidimensional 38-year-old artist who grew up between Athens and Crete. He now lives in Rethymno, where he works from his personal studio. With a background in sound engineering, photography, and music, his visual practice blends abstraction, emotional memory, and layered materiality into a distinct personal language. Working mainly on paper, he explores themes such as time, decay, transformation, and sensory experience. His process is instinctive and physical. He merges action painting, dripping techniques, and experimental surface handling with a keen sensitivity to texture and material. Often using unconventional tools, he balances between raw expression and precision. Kapataf’s works invite the viewer to pause and reflect, offering a space for sensation rather than interpretation. After participating in group photography exhibitions, he now focuses on developing his visual arts portfolio with an emphasis on painting.
