Amalia Triantafyllou lives and works in Athens. She is a graduate of the Department of Cultural Technology and Communication of the University of the Aegean, specialising in Audiovisual Arts, and is currently continuing her studies in the postgraduate programme Photography: Research and Methodology at the University of West Attica. Within the framework of her dissertation, she focuses on the nude self portrait, creating images through which she explores the fragility of the human psyche, the image and identity one assigns to oneself, and the roles one performs and believes to be defining. The core of her work, with social references, is the highlighting of the inseparable connection between psyche and body. In their interaction, the body functions as a medium and the environment in which it is placed as an extension of this relationship. She has been involved with photography since 2022 and has presented her work in group exhibitions in Greece and abroad.
