Niki Roubani is a visual artist and activist in the Women’s Movement, serving as President of the Greek Network of Women of Europe. She studied at the Athens School of Fine Arts and the Central School of Art and Design in London (BA Honours and Diploma, 1978). In 1975, while a student in the UK, she began her involvement in Human Rights through her role as Secretary General of the student association Ergasia. She is a member of the Association of Art Teachers and has published in 28 issues of the journal *Visual Education*, the book *Migrants in Greece* by Ellinika Grammata, and educational material by the Institute of Training of the Ministry of the Interior, including the handbook and DVD *Bridges of Friendship* and *Lesvos–Dikili* (2005) on conflict resolution training.
