Giannis Stamoulis

Giannis Stamoulis was born in 1969 in Athens. He worked in the Fire Brigade and retired with the rank of Lieutenant General-Deputy Chief. Alongside his service, he pursued specialized studies in the field of civil protection and safety, engaging in research and writing a large number of historical articles, studies, and books, while also serving as the Director of the Firefighting Museum. For several years, he has been involved in painting as an amateur, in all its forms. His first twenty works were included in a publication about the pandemic titled “Hours of Transmission” in November 2020. In 2022, he participated in an exhibition titled “Works of Life” with participating firefighter artists, and the following year, he organized an art exhibition titled “Athens Artistically,” dedicated to Athens, exhibiting many of his own works. He has also participated in four group exhibitions of ARTgrID. He writes articles for various media outlets and maintains the blog https://stamoylis.blogspot.com.
