Heike Kummer, originally from southern Germany, moved to Rhodes, Greece, in 1998 to work as a goldsmith. Enchanted by the country’s beauty and culture, she decided to make it her permanent home. In 2011, she graduated with honors from the University of Western Macedonia in Florina, earning a Fine and Applied Arts degree. Since then, she has been living on Rhodes, working as an independent artist and in art education. Her primary mediums include ink, mixed media, and oil. Her vibrant color palette radiates a dynamic energy that captivates the viewer. In her compositions, abstract and realistic forms seamlessly converge, creating a captivating dialogue between emotion and expression. This distinctive fusion makes her work not only visually striking but deeply moving. She draws inspiration from her diverse life experiences, the places she has lived, and the environments she has encountered. Her work has been featured in exhibitions both in Greece and internationally.
