Stella Matala is a visual artist and educator in public schools. She has been living and working in Thebes, Boeotia, for the past three years. She studied interior design at AKTO and painting at the Athens School of Fine Arts. During her studies, she spent a year in Valencia, Spain, at the city’s fine arts school through the Erasmus program. Her latest exhibition featured works spanning the past 25 years. From 2010 to 2021, she lived and worked in Rhodes as both an educator and an artist. She has held at least five solo exhibitions in Rhodes, Athens, and Thebes. Besides painting, she has engaged in collage, printmaking, ceramics, and handmade home decor creations. In the future, she wishes to focus more on her personal work, which includes small comic stories reflecting personal explorations and works derived from her self-exploration and connection with different aspects of her personality, aiming to present them and communicate with the public.
