Maria P. Ikonomopoulou is a Greek visual artist who explores painting as a bridge between emotion and reflective observation. Her work is characterised by expressive depictions that function at times soothingly and at others awakeningly, a continuous dialogue between heart and mind. She experiments with materials and textures, painting on canvas, wood, glass, and walls, while also creating wearable art, handmade wooden jewellery painted by hand, which transforms art into a personal and living experience. For Maria, art concerns not only aesthetics but also healing, empathy, and the cultivation of awareness. She has presented her work in group exhibitions in Greece and continues to develop a visual practice that combines personal research, social reflection, and deep human sensitivity.
