Xinbo Zhang

Xinbo was a painter at 7 and was famous in his class for drawing pictures of pigs and Doraemon. He gave up painting at the age of 10 because he never showed any talents then. Xinbo picked up literature at 13 and wrote some stories and poems. Never published. He started watching films intensively in college. It is cinema that introduced him to the fantastic world of music, photography and art. He was determined to be a director and made some short films, which were total disasters. Then he dreamed of doing photography, which seemed easier than making a film. He went to London to study Photography but was questioning contemporary art and photography all the time. He ended up graduating with a very limited portfolio and a messed up brain. Xinbo struggled to find a job and became suicidal afterwards. The only thing he can do is take pictures.
