Marita Tselekidi

Marita Tselekidi studied English Literature and Language at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (EKPA), Photography at AKTO, and Acting at the New York Acting Studio. She has also been involved in music and singing for many years, performing live and composing. Music and photography are the main art forms through which she presents her unique perspective of the world—particularly, the camera lens serves as her means to observe and reveal microcosms, usually found in the city’s streets, invisible in daily life. In recent years, she has also been writing poetry in both English and Greek, and her first poetry collection is ready. For Tselekidi, all arts share the same origin and represent a unified space with different expressions—hence her need to create an artistic project that combines two or more art forms. Her vision is to speak about existence and the human condition by synthesizing all the art forms she knows. She has presented her work in one solo and seven group exhibitions in Greece, as well as one group exhibition abroad.
