Katerina Spyropoulou was born in Athens, where she lives and works. She is a Civil Engineer with a postgraduate degree in environmental design and is professionally active in the field of public works. Since childhood, she has been involved in photography, painting, and music. Since 2013, she has participated in artistic photography workshops. From 2014 to 2018, she focused on “street photography.” In 2018–2019, she completed three cycles of studies at the Hellenic Centre for Photography. Since the summer of 2019, she has been working on “self-portraiture.” In 2021–2022, she completed the annual study program at the Hellenic Centre for Photography, working on “staged photography.” Since the summer of 2022, she has been attending the “Photography: Images and Techniques” program at the University of San Diego (California), having already completed seven cycles of studies towards obtaining a “Professional Certificate in Photography/Arts and Humanities.” She has exhibited her work in one solo exhibition in Thessaloniki and in 24 group exhibitions and international art events, including two in Italy (Rome and Venice), 15 in Athens, seven in Thessaloniki, and two online. She has published two photobooks and maintains a website.
