Diane Katsiaficas is a Greek American artist and professor emerita, Department of Art, University of Minnesota, Twin Cities where she taught from 1985-2016. She earned a BA degree in Chemistry from Smith College, pursued further studies at Camberwell School of Art (London), and received Master’s degrees in the Teaching of Art (MAT) and Fine Arts (MFA in Painting), from the University of Washington, Seattle. She now resides between Rafina, Greece and Minneapolis, MN.Katsiaficas’ interdisciplinary artwork, which ranges widely across multiple media, techniques, and technologies, has been exhibited extensively in solo and group exhibitions internationally.Among the collections in which her work is included are the Macedonian Museum of Contemporary Art, Thessaloniki; the Seattle Art Museum; the City of Seattle; USA TODAY, Washington, D.C.; the Weisman Art Museum, Minneapolis Institute of Art and Walker Art Center, Minneapolis, MN.
