Dimitra Gezerli

Dimitra Gezerli is a visual artist, with sculpture as her primary means of expression. She was born in Athens and lives and works in Patras. She holds a degree in Civil Engineering with studies at the School of Architecture of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH). She has a master’s degree in Environmental Infrastructure Design and is a PhD candidate in the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Peloponnese. She holds a degree in Hatha yoga and is a six-time Greek champion in the Professional Ballroom category. Her works, made of iron and bronze, are characterized by slender athletic human figures with a minimalist clarity, exploring the mystery of human existence and freedom, giving them a transcendental dimension. Her works are found in many private collections in Greece, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, the USA, and the United Arab Emirates. She has showcased her work in 4 solo exhibitions.
