Rallou Vlachou

Rallou Vlachou was born in Ioannina, where she permanently resides. She has been working at the University of Ioannina for the past two decades. Being a restless spirit, her empathy, altruism, and general need to contribute to society have led her to participate in volunteer groups and charitable activities over the years. In this context, she participated as a candidate for municipal councilor in the 2014 municipal elections of the Municipality of Ioannina. Her interests include sports and dance, and she has been a member of various traditional dance clubs. She loves philosophy, poetry, theater, and the arts. She has always been interested in the artist and their truth through their work. Although she drew as a child and remembers getting “lost” in the lines of a drawing, her involvement in painting is relatively recent. During the Covid period, she created works with decoupage and clay using various techniques. Her main characteristic is courage, as she refers to every problem that arises in the various areas of her life as a challenge. She is a mother of two children.
