Christos Karameros was born in Athens in 1973 and grew up between Agioi Anargyroi, Mykonos, Loutsa, and Kymi. He studied Conservation of Antiquities and Works of Art at the Technological Educational Institute (TEI) of Athens and spent a long time working on the conservation of Byzantine churches, frescoes, and ceiling paintings in neoclassical buildings, as well as the restoration and decoration of portable icons. After discovering the work of painter Dimitris Fotos, he fell in love with painting, which he continues to pursue today. His artworks, usually in black and white, attempt to merge painting with comics, an art form he admired from a young age. His themes often depict humans in sci-fi scenarios, with a distinctive “90s comic book” influence. In recent years, he has also been involved in book illustration. His works are part of numerous private collections in Greece and abroad. He currently lives in Trikala.
