Dimitra Aktypi

Dimitra Aktypi was born and raised in Athens, with roots in Zakynthos, Mani, and Asia Minor. She was enchanted by painting from a young age and began attempting portraits at the age of 14. She holds a degree from the School of Graphic Arts and Artistic Studies, Department of Photography (PUA). She worked as a photographer for five years, primarily in advertising and fashion, but was ultimately drawn to painting and drawing. She is currently completing her studies in interior design. Her great love has always been painting. In 2000, she met her first teacher, sculptor Ioanna Omorfopoulou, and in 2017, she studied under painter and mentor Lazaros Ktenidis. She has participated in more than 10 group exhibitions, primarily in painting, and is preparing for her first solo exhibition.
