Giorgos Pistikos was born and raised in Athens. From an early age he was drawn to drawing and painting, but due to professional and family obligations he did not pursue them further. After his retirement he gradually returned to artistic practice. He attended private drawing lessons with Professor Paschalis Bagiaos, a graduate of the School of Fine Arts, as well as painting classes at the Polygono Friendship Club. He has already held two solo exhibitions in Greece.
