Marietta Papageorgiou was born, lives, and works in Athens. She studied at the University of Piraeus while also studying photography. She was taught drawing, color, and art history at the school of painter-iconographer Yiannis Karoussos. She attended painting seminars with painters Eleni Deli and Anargyros Paschalis, as well as watercolor workshops with international watercolorists Michael Solovyev and Foti Kllogjeri. She has participated in numerous group exhibitions in Athens, Thessaloniki, Corfu, and Andros. Her works are part of private collections in Greece and the USA.
