Alexios Demelis is a self-taught artist based in Thessaloniki, where he lives and works in the field of graphic design. From a young age, he developed a strong interest in painting and visual arts, which led him to a continuous exploration of creativity and self-expression. Since 2012, painting has become Alexios’s primary means of expressing his emotions and thoughts. Using exclusively typographic inks and a palette knife, he captures on paper and canvas his inner reflections, experiences, and emotional fluctuations. His work is characterised by an abstract expressionist style, with vivid colours, dynamic “brushstrokes,” and strong contrasts. He continues to explore new media and techniques, constantly pushing the boundaries of his artistic expression.
