Eleni Chatzigeorgiou was born in a refugee neighborhood in Nikaia, where she completed her basic education. She worked professionally in jewelry design and music production (as a DJ) in the notable 80s. At that time, she first encountered the canvas. The most defining period came in the last eight years, during which she created a series of 100 emotional figures. Then, she was invited to present her work and gladly accepted, holding her first solo exhibition titled “Souls” in an industrial space in Piraeus. The appreciation she received motivated her to continue expressing herself through images, colors, and forms. Her next step was opening a unique space on a Cycladic island—a gallery with various exhibits—where she shared her work with people from all over the world. She has never stopped painting and experimenting with new techniques. Today, she is working on creating an artistic café in her hometown Nikaia, a space for every artist to express themselves. Alongside them, she will also exhibit the 50 figures that have accompanied her since the beginning of her journey, reminding her of every moment from then until now.
