Sunday, January 12, 2025 – We are pleased to announce that Niki Stylianou is joining the emerging community of the action platform Ink On Paper, which highlights visual artists whose primary media of expression are ink and paper.

Niki Stylianou was born in Athens. She studied Architecture at the National Technical University of Athens and completed her postgraduate studies at the Royal College of Art in London, exploring philosophical concepts related to space, the evolution of language, and their interrelation. She worked for many years in both the UK and Greece as an independent Architect and Designer, engaging in a wide range of fields spanning between Architecture and Art. She was soon drawn to Contemporary Artistic Jewelry. In this field, she worked as a creator, exhibition and seminar organizer, and as managing editor of the magazine *Autor* based in Bucharest. Today, she operates out of Uni.Versus Art Room, a multidisciplinary art space she founded in Petralona, and works as an Artistic Facilitator and Transformative Coach/Imagineer, with a vision to move people toward self-empowerment—always through the path of Creativity. Her work has been exhibited in numerous shows in Greece and abroad.

In her artistic statement, she emphasizes about her work: “I started with Architecture. I loved drawing intensely. The need to visually represent spaces, spatial qualities, kinesthetic experiences, and sensory perception of the environment pushed me toward art. I passed through many fields and delved into various techniques. My goal has been to combine their elements into a new vocabulary, new ‘texts,’ new ‘worlds.’ Today, even though my main medium is jewelry as micro-sculpture, drawing continues to inspire me. I love the traces left on paper by the architect’s pen or the writer’s stylus. I’m inspired by the palimpsest that emerges from the repetition of points, lines, layers. I find therapeutic value in the structures one can represent or compose through symbols, whether personal or collective. The concept of space-time, entropy, and the infinite structural combinations that human imagination can extract from chaos preoccupy me almost obsessively in everything I create.”
