Tempus Fugit

Art curator Paris Kapralos, in collaboration with visual artists from Greece and abroad, invites you to visit the exhibition “Tempus Fugit.” The exhibition takes place physically in Athens at Chili Art Gallery (Dimofontos 13-15, Thissio, Athens) and simultaneously online, in collaboration with ARTgrID.

It is noted in the curatorial text: “Tempus Fugit: time flies (Latin). Time flows relentlessly, waiting for no one. In today’s world, where everyday life moves at dizzying speeds, the sense of time feels even more fragile. Obligations multiply, moments slip away, and life becomes a constant race. We live in bleak times, full of uncertainty, crises, and pressure, which makes us forget to pause and truly live. Yet, if time flies, then another phrase from the wisdom of the old world resonates today more than ever: Carpe Diem (= seize the day) gains even greater importance. It is not enough to pursue our personal happiness in isolation. A good life comes through the well-being of others and our social role. Solidarity, giving, and meaningful connection with those around us are what give value to the time we have. We cannot stop it, but we can fill it with actions that leave a positive mark.”
