We announce today the result of the vote for the selection of the most preferred work by the audience in the group visual art exhibition “Dwellings of the Self”, which was successfully held and concluded on Saturday 24 January 2026.

As part of the exhibition, a process was carried out to determine the work that received the greatest audience preference through an online vote. From the opening night until the end of the exhibition, an album with photographs of all the works participating in the exhibition was posted on the official ARTgrID Facebook page. The expression of preference was made exclusively through the “Like” indication on each work, up to 23:59 on the last day.

With the conclusion of the voting, the Audience Award is presented to Maria Papatrecha for the total number of votes her works received: “Towers of Our Hearts, from the series ‘Dream World’, embroidery with cotton and metallic gold threads, natural French linen, 60×50 centimetres” & “Dwellings of the Dream, from the series ‘Dream World’, embroidery with cotton and metallic gold threads, natural French linen, 70×60 centimetres”. Collectively, the works received a total of 1073 “reactions” (likes, etc.) – votes, a number that placed them first in the audience’s preferences.

The prize is an annual website subscription on the ARTgrID platform and includes the creation and hosting of a bilingual professional website, and includes promotional and communication services for the artist and their work, valued €610.

We congratulate Maria Papatrecha for the distinction and the response her work received from the public. In the coming days we will contact her in order to arrange the process of granting and implementing the prize.
