Natasa Meskou is a self-taught visual artist based in Athens. She experiments with different media and techniques, with oil painting as her principal means of expression. Her artistic practice centres on human figures and faces, which she deconstructs and reinterprets through an abstract and personal perspective. She draws inspiration from a wide range of visual stimuli and influences, with particular reference to contemporary art and Pop Art. Elements of everyday life, human presence and the contemporary environment are transformed in her work. Through continuous experimentation, she seeks new ways of representing the human form and experience, approaching painting as a field of free expression and personal interpretation.
