Petros Filippou was born in Athens. From 1972 to 1974, he studied graphic arts at the Centre for Technological Applications (K.T.E.), followed by drawing lessons with Vrasidas Vlachopoulos from 1974 to 1976. Between 1981 and 1984, he studied painting at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts, Department of Fine Arts, in Paris. He has presented his work in three solo exhibitions in Athens and has participated in twenty-two group exhibitions in Greece and abroad. His works are held in private collections both in Greece and internationally.
