Christina Mavini is an archaeologist and museologist who works as an Education Curator at the Metropolitan Organisation of Museums of Visual Arts of Thessaloniki (MOMus). She has written texts for exhibition catalogues and museum exhibitions, participated in international conferences and symposiums, and taught in postgraduate programmes and lifelong learning courses on art, culture, and education. She also works as a guide, leading specialised tours focused on architecture, the transformation of urban space, and public history. She is a graduate in Classical Singing from the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki and has performed in numerous professional productions and concerts as both a soloist and a chorister. Her involvement with photography extends from personal practice to archaeological and historical research, where she has been responsible for the photographic documentation of excavation trenches and archaeological finds during university excavations. Her favourite subjects include the relationship between monuments and the natural and urban landscape, industrial heritage, older people, and children.
