Fotini Mamali was born in Thessaloniki in 1966. She lives and works in Eastern Attica. She has worked in the banking sector and as a freelance painter and illustrator, as well as in the design and creation of handmade jewelry. She is largely self-taught. An adolescent artistic inclination that had lain dormant for many years re-emerged around the age of 40. Since then she has extensively explored color in all its textures, from tempera to oils and dry pastels, and has worked with mixed media techniques. Most of her work consists of nudes and portraits. She has created numerous portraits and nude studies solely with pencil or charcoal. She has designed book covers for short story and poetry collections and is personally engaged in writing and poetry. She has participated in 13 group exhibitions in galleries and cultural events in Athens between 2010 and 2025.
