Marita Tselekidi studied photography at AKTO, English language and literature at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, and acting at NYAS. She is also involved in music, performing live and composing. Photography and music are the main art forms through which she presents her own view of the world. The photographic lens in particular functions as a gateway through which she reveals and uncovers microcosms, usually in city streets, though not exclusively, invisible in everyday life. Photography becomes a means for a journey where external stimuli reflect inner paths, memories speak and hidden emotions emerge. For Tselekidi all arts share the same starting point and form a unified field with different expressions. She has presented her work in one solo exhibition in Athens and in group exhibitions in Athens, London, New York, Rome, Venice, Paris, Zurich and Japan.
