Catherine Tsirigouli, born in South Africa, lives in Athens and works in the field of Information Technology, which was also the main focus of her studies. From an early age she showed a strong interest in painting, with her works participating in school and student exhibitions and competitions, receiving awards. Since 2015 she has returned to her hobby. She attends private and online courses to stay informed about contemporary techniques and trends in the visual arts and artistic creation, both through canvas and digital painting. In recent years she has practised alternative modes of expression and representation, mainly through digital painting. Starting from the observation of everyday life and the unlimited possibilities of new technologies, she experiments with colour, light, and texture in virtual environments, seeking new forms of expression that reflect the era of overinformation and virtual reality, creating compositions that oscillate between the boundaries of physical and virtual visual space. She has participated in group exhibitions with works of varied themes and technical approaches, with tendencies towards abstraction and modified figurative elements.
