Polytimi Balopoulou was born in Athens. After finishing secondary school she studied Economics and worked in the field for five years, while at the same time beginning studies at a School of Icon Painting. She worked professionally in the field of Byzantine Icon Painting for three years and later decided to make her dream a reality. In 2013 she was admitted to the Athens School of Fine Arts. She followed the painting specialisation, studying at the First Painting Workshop under Angelos Antonopoulos and at the Eighth Painting Workshop under Zafo Xagorari and Kostas Christopoulos, from which she graduated. During her undergraduate studies she participated in group exhibitions with the First Workshop of the School of Fine Arts and the Parnassos Literary Society. During her studies she became the mother of two children and since 2024 she has been working at a painting studio, teaching drawing and painting to children and adults.
