Dimitris Galanakis is a visual artist whose main mediums of expression are painting and drawing using the stippling technique. He was born in Athens in 1961 and has been involved in Fine Arts since 1981, under the guidance of several other visual artists. With their support, continuous effort, and thorough study, he developed technical skill and shaped his personal style through multiple influences. A significant influence on his art came from his work as a four-colour retoucher at “ADAM” Publications, where he collaborated with some of the greatest painters. Throughout his career, he has worked with a variety of media—such as watercolour, oil painting, and pencil—and in recent years has focused on stippling, which has become a distinctive feature of his work. He has presented his work in two solo exhibitions and many group exhibitions, and his artworks are held in private collections. Since May 2023, Dimitris Galanakis has been collaborating with the visual artist collective ARC – Art Revisited Collective.
