Ioannis Vlachos was born, raised, and lives in Kavala. He studies in Thessaloniki at the School of Electronics. However, his passion for art drives him to pursue studies in Interior Decoration, Graphic Design, and Drawing. He returns to Kavala and holds his first solo exhibition in October 1979, receiving great response from the local public. He opens his own business specialising in Signage, Mock-ups, and Shop Decorations. Soon after, he joins “Chartoviotechnia Kavala”, a paper manufacturing company focused on printing wrapping papers and packaging materials, where he applies his knowledge in graphic design. He is a certified Reflexologist. He is also involved in Traditional Music, playing the santouri and kanonaki. Additionally, he is an athletics athlete, participating in National, Balkan, and European championships. He has held a total of ten solo exhibitions and participated in five group exhibitions in Greece and abroad. His artworks include oil paintings, pen and Chinese ink drawings, Chinese ink with tempera, and three-dimensional oil paintings using natural materials such as stones, wood, etc. His themes are inspired by traditional and neoclassical architecture, picturesque alleyways, and nature.
