Dimitris Cangelaris was born in Athens (1990) and grew up abroad, in Egypt, Pakistan, and Germany. From an early age, he showed a talent for the visual arts and drawing, leading him to study architecture in England and Austria. He holds a degree in Architecture from the University of Portsmouth and a master’s degree from the University of Applied Arts Vienna (die Angewandte Kunst Wien). Having lived in Athens for the past decade, he draws inspiration from both Cycladic architecture and the urban fabric of Athens, as well as the everyday life of its residents. Dimitris explores and attempts to capture their simple lives with a personal style that combines architectural techniques with naïve art.
