Maria Kalliadou was born in Thessaloniki. She lives and works in Athens. Her studies in Visual Arts ran parallel to her studies in Classical Philology at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (EKPA) and Psychology at Deree – The American College of Greece. Her artistic journey developed as she apprenticed under esteemed artists. She studied drawing and painting under painters Yiannis Varlas and Dimitris Maninis. She attended Byzantine Iconography lessons under the guidance of iconographer Areti Floka. She studied at Borgias Fine Arts School, where she completed the Fine Art program, specializing in painting and printmaking with professors Vangelis Theodoridis and Daniela Stamatiadi. She has presented her work in 22 group visual art exhibitions in Greece and abroad.
